Absolutely perfect location.

Review Submitted: November 17, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
A special birthday brought us to London from various parts of the UK for our short stay. We would like to highly recommend this property in every way-in particular it's quality and location and also the extremely helpful information supplied by the owner about the locality, nearby shops, restaurants etc before arrival.
Whether a first-time or frequent visitor to London you will be impressed by just how much is only a short walk away. Walk along the river via Westminster and Big Ben over to the London Eye and concert halls and museums on the South Bank. Alternatively you have Buckingham Palace and St. James Park in the other direction. London Underground is only a 2 minute walk if you need it though.
We have already recommended it to friends and family and are now just thinking of an excuse to come back ourselves.

A perfect spot for the 9 of us during our 6 delightful days in London this earrly fall. Loved the house with its nooks & crannies & levels & character. It is SO handy to the underground and to many of the "must-see" sights, such as Westminster, the British Museum, St Pauls, the "Tower" and various parks and squares. The Tachbrook area is great for its neighborly feel, the nearby amenities such as Thai dining, Sainsbury market foods, and a colorful pub or 2 for our Middle-agers. We relished it ALL.

Perfect house, perfect location.

We were so lucky to find this perfect house, in the perfect location. Our group of nine loved our stay here. It is as close as you'll get to being in your own home while travelling, exactly what you need after a hard day's sightseeing. Tachbrook Street is very quiet, but it's only a short walk to shops, supermarkets, restaurants, trains, buses, and so close to the centre of London. Everything you need is close by.

The service and communication provided by the owners is first class, right from the initial booking to after departure. There's heaps of information provided about the house and local area, how to get around, and even loads of tourist information. We stayed in many houses, apartments and hotels during our trip and this was easily our favourite. When we visit London again, we'll definitely be trying to book here again.

I usually do not write reviews for places where I have stayed; however, I am going to make an exception for this house. Everything was exactly as described or even better. The gracious owner met us at the house when we arrived in London. The house is absolutely adorable - the pictures do not do it justice! We were traveling with four adults and four children, and this house was perfect for everyone! We were all spaced out enough to where we felt like we were alone at night but we were all still together. With all of the up-to-date amenities (the internet, digital TV, etc) the kids were always occupied. With children traveling with us, safety was a concern of ours. The neighborhood is very quaint, quiet, has a bit of a local flair, and we felt very safe. As mentioned in the description of the house, it is very close to the underground station - which we rode every day - and it is very easy to navigate around the city. If you are trying to decide between this house and something else, I would definitely recommend staying here - you will not be disappointed! Our entire experience here was marvelous!!

I recently brought a group of 9 including a small child from the USA to London for a week of football/soccer watching and general sightseeing in London. We were all delighted to get out of our hotel and into the house for the second half of our stay. The facilities are excellent, everyone had ample space and privacy yet we were able to stay as a group and most of our time was spent in the large kitchen and sitting areas.

The basics are all there, the house is perfectly clean and well appointed. Everything we needed during our visit could be found by hunting in the drawers and cupboards. The beds are great and were particularly appealing after walking around the city for a day. The bathroom facilities are very good and we were delighted to have the satellite TV to watch the games we had attended earlier in the day.

A glance at a map will show that the house is centrally located. What is less obvious is the fact that it is very well served with local amenities. Great shops, restaurants and pubs abound in the local area which rewards exploration. During our stay, we walked to Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace. Luckily the weather was great so walking was attractive; if that is not your thing the underground station is just at the end of the street.

It was important to me to have a space that allowed our group the opportunity to share a space yet ensure that each person had sufficient privacy and I must say that this house satisfied that requirement perfectly.

All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this house. The photographs in the advertisement accurately represent the house both exterior and interior and it was a pleasure to deal with Adrienne who responded to my queries speedily and helpfully.

The house is a very welcoming place to stay and a wonderful place to use as a base while in London. Can't wait to go back someday.

We all just loved your house! It was perfect for us. There was room for the 11 of us with some needed privacy! Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to spend there and just relax. Thank you again for the wine, which we really enjoyed – also for all your helpful hints. Look forward to our next visit !

Everything we'd heard and more!

Wow! The house is everything we'd heard and more! When she walked in through the front door on Saturday morning our younger granddaughter (five) said "This is exactly how I wanted our home in England to be!" She and her sister are thrilled with the giant-sized dolls house and all the children have had fun looking at the treasures in the toy box. Our grandson and his dad have been several times to the lovely garden at Warwick Square and this evening played tennis there. This afternoon we went on the Number 24 bus as far as Camden Town and took in the market(s), and on the way back the kids had front row seats on the upper deck and had a great time taking photos of all the famous landmarks.
The house was a joy to stay in. So much thought has been put into making things easy for guests. The memories will last a lifetime.
