Having been in Vejer before I knew what to expect - it is a beautiful hilltop town set amidst picturesque countryside. The townhouse, Castillo Blanco, was lovely and nicely decorated inside. It is conveniently located very close to the center of town.

Jem, the owner, was very obliging with providing any necessary information and provides some recommendations with respect to where to visit in the town.

Overall, I would strongly recommend a trip to Vejer and to Castillo Blanco.

We went without a car but it is possible to get down to the beach by bus to a number of different beaches. If you want to do any sightseeing in the countryside or require a degree of flexibility I would recommend renting a car.

Stunning View!

Upon arrival we immediately headed to the terrace and sat with a beer enjoying the view - it was as good as the photo and washed away the journey within minutes. The peace made us forget the walk up the hill to the house and we were glad that you couldn't drive up - I would suggest that your suitcase has wheels though! The house is perfectly appointed for a break in the area, although we did little aside from trips to the lovely El Plamar beach - if you go, have lunch at La Chanca, and for dinner an evening at Hotel Califa is a must. Highly recommended and thanks Jemma for making your home so warm and welcoming.

Spanish live in Vejer

We rented the house for 1 week and it was great. In de middle of the lovely village Vejer, you are a part of how the Spanish live. It was cold in the evenings, so we were happy with the heaters. Next to the heaters, a glass of red wine with homemade tapas made the evenings ok. Some doors in the house are small, so we bumbed our head several times. A lovely house to stay with a excellent roofterrace (beautiful view as in the pictures) We hope to come back here soon.

Townhouse with view

We spent 5 days in Castillo Blanco in February. The description provided was accurate and it was a very comfortable bed. Chilly in February so needed the heaters. The terrace view is as per photo. On down side low water presssure except for the shower, need to be careful how many electrical items switch on or fuse trips out (but it is in the living room) and cannot get car to the property to unload. Helpful and friendly owner (and neighbours). Much less hectic coastal area compared to Costa de Sol yet has good road links.

Castillo Blanco is a charming little house, nicely presented inside and with a great terrace on the second floor that offers a fine view of the old town - particularly wonderful to sit there in the evening with a glass of wine. Comfortable bed and smart bathroom with excellent shower. Vejer is a super base for discovering this part of Andalusia and for trips to the long unspoilt beaches between El Palmar and Cape Trafalgar.

Everything was perfect - just like in the description - we really enjoyed Vejer and the quietness of this house. The rooms were clean. Beautiful view from the roof ! El Palmar is a great beach and not cowded. We would love to come again sometime.
Jemma, the owner , is very helpful and great to deal with. Thumbs up !
