Holiday at Sunrise View House

Andy Smart Bournemouth
Review Submitted: September 30, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
The description of the apartment does not do it justice, my family and I have just got back from ten glorious days from this fantasticly situated apartment located on what felt like our own private beach. We enjoyed it so much that before we left we have booked for next year. The apartment had everything you needed.
Jinson & Concessa were very helpful with what to see and do in and around Gibraltar.
Thank you for a lovely holiday see you in 2010!!

Gibraltar in late October

old fella Chester, Cheshire, UK
Review Submitted: October 31, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We have just spent 5 days at this excellent property. We had decided to take our 5 year old grandson for a short break and selected this apartment rather than a hotel (more space for him to move around and not get bored being tied to a single room). The propoerty is first class, the beach just across the road, the walk into town is about 10 mins which was ideal for a youngster. The beach location could not be better for a family with children, even late October there were a couple of families swimming the day we left. We covered all the attractions and lunch and dinner we ate at resturaunts, either Casement Square or Ocean Village.
We used a taxi a couple of evenings back from town to the apartment (only because of carrying shopping), each occassion it was £3, not expensive at all.
General food and drink we found very reasonable and good selections with some very good cheap wine.
Concessa was excellent in every respect, having arrived evening she drove us up to the local supermarket to get some essentials to tide us over until the following day. She was very helpful with advice.
If we decide to spend another break in Gibraltar, we would not hesitate in returning to this property.

Many thanks, Frank, Heather & Harvey

Convenient and very pleasant stay

Review Submitted: October 21, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We stayed at Sunrise View in early October 2009. The owners were really helpful during the booking process and replied promptly and helpfully to all emails and made the whole process very easy. Upon arrival at Gibraltar airport the apartment is a short taxi ride away. The property itself is in a lovely setting overlooking the beach and it was clean and tidy and well equipped. We had 4 adults in our party and it was very comfortable for the 4 of us, with plenty of towels, bedding and kitchen equipment for us all. There was a supermarket a short walk away and you can get the bus from just up the road into the town and to Morrisons supermarket.
We found it to be an easy walk into the town for meals and trips out and also a short walk over to Catalan Bay for tapas and drinks. The buses are regular and leave from just around the corner on the main road. Although the airport is very close to the apartment there was no noise from it whatsoever. It was also very handy to be so close to the beach which was really good for swimming in.
Overall it was a fantastic holiday, the weather was excellent and the apartment was really nice. There is so much to see in Gibraltar and the apartment was an ideal base for seeing everything. We would thoroughly recommend a night out at Ocean Village and a trip over to Catalan Bay for the tapas, both were fantastic. We would also thoroughly recommend the apartment and the owners. I know that if you have an queries then they would be most willing to assist and I would not hesitate to stay here again and hope to do so again in the near future.

Enchanting an magical

Grizwold's on tour Lancaster
Review Submitted: October 14, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Picture this: It's October, and in Britain the first morning frosts have already made their appearance. Your friends are texting you about dank, overcast, and drizzly morning rides to work. But you on the other hand are bathed in the most gorgeous autumn Sun imaginable, the mercury touching nearly 30 centigrade. That's just how it was for us at this totally enchanting apartment.

This was our third visit, and also the best. The rooms are situated directly overlooking Eastern Beach, which at this time of the year is almost deserted even though the water is still warm and perfect to swim in.

We were also lucky our visit coincided with the Full Moon offering the enchanting prospect of romatic candle lit meals on the balcony . Later we took a bottle of wine to the waters edge with the Moon beam sparkling across the ocean. You almost felt you could walk the glow across the water and ascend an imaginary staircase to the sky.

For me this place and location demands superlatives, and can make for a magical experience. And as with everything in Gibraltar nothing you could need is too far away. Shops, pharmacies, pubs, restaurants, a Morrisons supermarket, and also a brand new Casino, all within easy bus reach, or a 15 minute walk.

You're not always guaranteed good weather in October but sometimes Gibraltar barely has a recognisable winter and the last Christmas I spent there it was 26 centigrade !! Gibraltar is also great for fishing and all water sports, and whatever you do don't miss the dolphin tour, details of which your hosts will be happy to provide. We saw literally hundreds of dolphins and makes for an unforgettable outing.

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and see it for yourselves!!!

great family break

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We have just come back from a great short break at Sunrise View. We added 4 nights onto our main holiday in Spain. It was really easy to just walk across the border with our suitcases and fantastic to be so close to the airport for going home. The owners very kindly let us stay on late in the apartment on our leaving day which meant we could enjoy the last few hours of sun on the wonderful clean beach before going home. The apartment was lovely and clean too and the views were everything i had hoped for. It was amazing to wake up in the morning looking out to sea.
We really recomend taking a dolphin trip, it was worth every penny ( we also managed to barter down the price). We loved Ocean Village and had some great meals there, also everything was so much cheaper than in Spain.
The only slightly negative thing was the cars with their booming music on the Saturday night, but dont let it put you off, the other nights were fine and the positives far outweigh this small negative.
We would definately come again

Owner's Response: Hi Karen we are glad to see that our clients expectations of the apartment is fullfilled and that you took our advice on the Dolphin trip and enjoyed it.

We enjoyed the apartment

Review Submitted: August 18, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
Six of us recently had a comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable time at the apartment which is clean, very well equipped and has fantastic views of the sea! It is so conveniently located on Eastern Beach and because of this, it made our holiday such a wonderful experience. We loved listening to the waves at night and watching the sun rise in the morning. The walk to Main Street is 10-15 minutes so the apartment is very conveniently located in all respects. Jinson and Concesca who own the apartment are very helpful and friendly and we hope to return for another visit next year. We would thoroughly recommend the apartment to all of you looking for a beach holiday in Gibraltar.

Ideal Beach Location

A Timelord Horsham
Review Submitted: August 1, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
The apartment was very clean and in an ideal location. Airport noise was not a problem, as others have commented
on your website, as there are only about 5 flights a day. In fact it is easy to walk to the airport in 20 minutes.
Due to the buses from town being full up, we had to walk across the runway to catch our flight!
It was also recommended that one brings binoculars, which we did, and I spent a lot of time sitting on the
balcony watching the boats and ships.
The beach was just across the road so one could easily throw stones from the balcony onto the beach!
One great pleasure of the location was being able to walk along the beach in the evening, which would not
have been convenient if we stayed in the town instead.
The apartment also had free Sky satellite and local Spanish terrestrial TV channels. I enjoyed several programmes
of local TV: bullfighting and the fireworks display from La Linea. Wireless Internet was also very good so we could
send some of our digital photos to family and friends while we were there, and check in online for the return flight.

Owner's Response: Hi Alister
Im Glad you and your family found the apartment and its facilities to your liking and enjoyed your evening walks on the beach. We have lived here for 18 years and we must admit that we never get enough whatever the season.
Happy to have you back anytime it was a pleasure to have you as our guests.
As we normally do with our first time clients we are obliged to inform you to request a discounted rate if you decide to book with us in the future.
Thanks Jinson & Concessa.

Hard to beat

Point Breaker Lancaster
Review Submitted: July 7, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This was our second stay here. The previous one was in autumn but this was a summer visit. What can I say? Sensational. We love Eastern Beach.

If you like a beach holiday in safe surroundings, just two minutes from your apartment, with gorgeous sea views from your very pillow then this is for you. Moreover the block of flats that houses the apartment is extremely neighbour friendly with people genuinely willing to help with any problems, rare though these might be.

Eastern Beach in summer is certainly a more vibrant place than autumn and on weekends becomes quite busy. I compare it to the Las Ketchup video; The Ketchup Song. Goggle it on the Internet and You Tube will give you at least a small flavour of the way I see Eastern Beach at peak season.

An exaggeration? Some may say so, but for me this 600 metres of beach is special, and a morning walk at sunrise will remain unforgettable.

After dark a sit on the adjoining groyne with a vista of the looming rock at twilight must rank as one of the finest sights on Earth. I'd love to put you off this place because I want it all to myself. The chances are though that like us, you'll always want to come back whatever the season.

Thanks again and our best regards to Patricia and your mother.

Holiday Stay

Kezzer Congleton
Review Submitted: June 30, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Gibraltar. The location of the apartment is excellent, right on the beach, with the Spanish coastline to the left and the North African coast to the right. The airport is only a few minutes away which is so convenient. We were particularly blessed with excellent weather in June, if not a little too hot, so the only change I would make to the apartment would be air conditioning, or to add to ceiling fans to the lounge and master bedroom. The owners were on hand if needed, and were lovely people. Gibraltar itself was such a plasant surprise, so much to see and do, a reason to return I think.

Owner's Response: Thank you Kerry for your comments. We are planning on fitting the ceiling fans to the lounge and master bedroom as soon as we get a gap in our bookings. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in Gibraltar and liked the apartment and its location.
