The village is set on the boundary between the Antequera Mountains and the Malaga Mountains, and therefore has access to some of the best hill walking, mountain biking and horse riding country in Axarquia. On the 15th May and between the 15th and 18th August are the town’s two main festivities to celebrate Saints days, when the town becomes a hive of good food, traditional music and a many little displays and events.
