Other attractions which can be seen within walking distance of a Rome apartment or any of the Rome accommodation on offer include the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Catacombs of Rome, Baths of Caracalla, Pyramid of Cestius and Bocca della Verita.

Rome was also an important city during the Renaissance, and there are many celebrated Renaissance buildings and villas in Rome. Of particular note is the Piazza del Campidoglio by Michelangelo and the baroque Fontana di Trevi. Art and architecture play an important role in Rome life. For artistic culture, try the National Gallery of Modern Art, National Museum of Rome or Borghese Gallery.

Rome is blessed with a Mediterranean climate, with temperatures in August often soaring past 32˚C. Winters are exceptionally mild, and renting holiday accommodation in Rome in December, you will still be in daily temperatures of around 15˚C.
