Every May, Saint-Brieuc welcomes the Art Rock Festival, where performing arts meets modern rock music in a fantastic celebration of contemporary performance. During the summer months, the beaches of the Cote d’Armor are hard to ignore. The beaches of the Cote du Penthievre and the Cote du Golelo, which are found immediately to the east and west of Saint-Brieuc respectively, are fantastically sandy and more often than not, almost deserted.

The resort of Binic is a wonderfully lively place to take a Saint-Brieuc holiday villa, tucked into a harbour on the Cote du Golelo. Known as one of the most beautiful spots along the coast, Binic is a huge favourite with both walkers and those with a love for the maritime way of life. There are numerous walks which emanate from the town, and water sports absolutely thrive from the three town beaches, especially sailing from the 600 berth marina, 50 of which are kept free for visitors.

Lamballe is world famous for its stud, which is found in the heart of the town, producing some of France’s finest racehorses. Guided tours are available all year round, although they are most popular from June when the stallions are in.

Les Rosaires is a great beach town in Brittany, with a fantastic beach, perfect for kite-surfing, Brittany’s newest sporting fad.

Summers are beautifully warm in this part of Brittany, with average temperatures remaining around 26˚C during July and August, perfect for enjoying the vast range of water sports on offer or simply taking to the countryside on foot, horse back or bicycle.

Cheap flights to Saint-Brieuc, France

Although there is an airport in Saint-Brieuc, the only flights received on a regular basis are those from the Channel Islands. In order to reach self catering Saint-Brieuc holiday accommodation, you can either fly on Ryanair to Dinard, an hour and a half away, or get a ferry to St Malo, roughly the same distance away. Alternatively, there is a TGV station in Saint-Brieuc, which is connected directly to Paris.
