S’Arenal is truly a resort for beach lovers, ideally located at the eastern end of Playa de Palma, a 6km stretch of white sand beach on the southern coast of Majorca. Although the beach gets very busy in the summer months, the sheer length of the stretch means it should still be possible to find your own little space.

Given the popularity of S’Arenal and other nearby resorts along Playa de Palma, there are of course all of the obligatory water sports available along the beach, including banana boats, water skiing and paragliding. Visitors can also find providers offering day excursions for Scuba diving, sailing and fishing nearby.

S’Arenal Palma is a great family destination, not only for the amount of activities on offer along the beach, but also because it is ideally located for the many family attractions in the area. This includes Aqualand water park, Palma Aquarium and Golf Fantasia, all of which are only a short drive from S’Arenal apartments.

There is plenty of opportunity for visitors to get out and enjoy the spectacular scenery around S’Arenal. Bicycle hire is available from the centre of the resort and horse riding is also available nearby.

S’Arenal Mallorca also has plenty to offer guests in the way of evening entertainment, with a promenade featuring various bars and clubs. The promenade also has a number of restaurants serving up tasty local dishes as well as various international favourites.

The capital of Mallorca, Palma, is less than a 10-minute drive from S’Arenal, and can easily be reached by bus for those not wishing to hire a car for the duration of their stay. Here there are several fascinating tourist attractions, including the beautiful cathedral. There are also lots of opportunities for shopping, as well as many cafes at which to sit and soak up the atmosphere.

The weather in S’Arenal is typical of the Balearics, with hot dry summers and mild but slightly damper winters. Temperatures in the summer typically reach between 20C and 30C, while winters may feel a little chilly at 10C.

The island of Mallorca is served by Palma International Airport (PMI), which is 10km from the resort. This receives flights from the UK run by many providers including easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways. Shuttle buses run from the airport to S’Arenal accommodation, while car hire is also available for those who would prefer to make their own way.
