Make a holiday rental home or apartment in China your home away from home

China, in Asia, is a simply staggering country. Having spent the last 2,000 years evolving in complete isolation from the rest of the globe, there is simply nowhere else on the planet that can compare in any way. There are simply too many treasures to contemplate seeing in a single holiday to China, but whether you decide to cruise the Yangtze, follow the Silk Road, explore the sensational city of Beijing or explore the stunning Buddhist region of Yunnan, one thing is for certain, China will leave a great impression on your heart.

Things to do in China

It is very hard to know where to start when providing information on China. There are simply too many natural and man-made wonders to explore throughout the enormous country, from the incredible Great Wall of China to the Xiling Gorge, the Forbidden City to the Han Dynasty Yangling Tomb.

A beautiful way to see some of China’s most impressive sights is by taking a river cruise along the Yangtze River. In just a couple of days away from your China holiday home, you can explore the Zhujiajiao water village, which simply defies belief, the Yu Gardens, the stunning Xiling Gorge and the Confucian Temple.

After exploring the magical, mystical sites of the countryside, a return to one of China’s international cities offers a remarkable and captivating contradiction. Cities like Shanghai are still home to some remarkable historical monuments, yet they nestle between huge skyscrapers, international department stores and hugely fashionable boutiques.

Places to visit on holiday in China

Beijing is one of the most popular places to visit on China holidays. The incredible sights of Beijing, now famous around the world, from the Great Wall of China to the Ming Tombs, the Forbidden City to the Terracotta Warriors of Xi’an, make Beijing and absolutely extraordinary place to explore during a China holiday. However long you stay in Chinese accommodation in Beijing, you will never see all the sights of this sensational city.

Macau, the first, and last, colony of Europe in China is a fascinating place to take accommodation in China. Like Honk Kong, it is a 'special administrative region', and is highly notable for many reasons, not least of all the excellent textile shopping.

Weather in China

China is an absolutely vast country, and as a result, the climate varies hugely from region to region. The summer months, which fall between May and August, can be exceedingly hot in places, and winters can be harsh. It is recommended that the best times to take China holidays are during the spring and autumn months, which are between March and May and between September and November, as conditions are generally mild.

Cheap flights to China

Starting holidays in China is wonderfully easy from the UK. British Airways provide a range of flights to China, arrive into Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (PVG), Hong Kong (HKG) and Guangzhou (CAN) airports.
