The scenery is awe-inspiring, and you may have trouble believing that it really is a natural landscape. Thick forests blanket the hills for as far as the eye can see, but it is the sheer, jutting rock formations that soar upwards from the forests below that really capture the imagination. Walking and climbing in Saxon Switzerland is unrivalled and a highly recommended experience.

Dresden’s Klotzsche Airport (DRS) is located on the outskirts of the city, making Dresden holidays fantastically easy to start. There are a handful of regular flights direct to Dresden, largely provided by British Airways who run services between Gatwick (LGW) and Dresden.
