The city is also located within 40km of the beach, and the journey south-west through the hills towards the coast is an enjoyable one.

Probably the best option for getting to Fivizzano is to fly to Galileo Galilei Airport, Pisa (PSA), and then make the remaining 90-minute journey by public transport or car. A second option is to fly to Genova Airport (GOA). Pisa is the more popular option as some budget airlines fly there from the UK, and it is nearer to Fivizzano.
