There are also stunning beaches such as Dona Ana, where you can enjoy water sports such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
Cabo de Sao Vicente is the most southwesterly point in Europe and is just a short drive away from Figueira accommodation. Here you can see a lighthouse and 16th century convent built on a cliff. There are also spectacular views of the rugged coastline and ocean.
Faro is just over an hour away from Figueira and makes a lovely day trip. The city is filled with interesting monuments and buildings such as the Cathedral, the castle and many museums and galleries. The city also has high-class restaurants and vibrant nightlife.
