Porkellis is a small rural village situated a mile from Wendron and four miles from Helston in Cornwall. It has its origins in tin mining and agriculture. Porkellis is to be found amongst rolling countryside in what used to be the heart of the Wendron mining region. Helston is the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula with its rugged cliffs and beautiful beaches. Middle Boswin Coarse Fishery is open all the year round for perch, carp, tench and roach. Horse riders are spoilt for choice with five stables in the area incl Poltesco Valley Riding Stables in Helston.
