Bernese Oberland is a major skiing destination, with 9 world-class destinations high in the Alps. It is spectacularly beautiful, and the walking in the summer is un-rivalled, with clear air, snow capped mountains lush hills and jagged rocks.

The country is wonderfully authentic, and Alpine dairies, Swiss chocolate and clocks are still as prominent as they always have been. Weather in Switzerland

Summer is warm, lasting from June to September, with average temperatures peaking at around 25°C in July, the busiest tourist period. Switzerland’s ski resorts open in mid-November and remain open until April. Winter temperatures can dip as low as -3°C in the mountains during the winter, but average temperatures are around 2°C during the coldest months.
