Inland, the South Coast of Sri Lanka is home to the two most important national parks on the island. Steeped in history and still surrounded by the 16th century defensive walls built by the Dutch, which protected the city from the worst of the tsunami, Galle offers visitors a sensational amount of entertainment and place of interest to explore. Unawatuna is not still the deserted beach paradise it became famous for being, yet its charm still shines through. Weather in the South Coast of Sri Lanka

The main tourist season in Sri Lanka is from December until March, with average monthly temperatures of around 30˚C. Although there is little change in monthly average temperatures from the hottest to the coldest months (30˚C – 24˚C), the rainy season occurs during the British summertime.
