Summer visitors will also not be left bored, with mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, horse riding, canyoning and hot air ballooning all on offer in the town or close by. Summer is a great time to visit, as the village overflows with blooming alpine flowers and is less crowded than in the winter.

The Saint-Gervais, Mont-Blanc region is less than 40km from most St Jean-de-Sixt villas, where visitors can ride the historic tramway, visit art galleries and studios and relax in the thermal spa.

St Jean de Sixt is most easily accessed by flying into Geneva Airport (GVA). The airport is on the border with Switzerland and has a French sector specifically for those wishing to holiday in France, which means that passengers don’t require a Swiss visa. St Jean-de-Sixt is then 65km from the airport. Hiring a car is the easiest mode of transportation to your self-catering accommodation, and this is available in the French side of the terminal.
