Around Sun Peaks there are also many places to enjoy snowmobiling, or perhaps try some ice fishing on one of the local lakes.

Although Sun Peaks accommodation is situated up a mountain the resort is not in the middle of nowhere. A 45 minute drive will bring you to the city of Kamloops where you can enjoy shopping and attractions such as the BC Wildlife Park or the Heritage Railway. There are numerous other towns within reach too and there’s often something going as such as a Rodeo, a Farmers Market, or a Pow Wow.
