Make a holiday rental home or apartment in Tempelhof-Schoneberg, Germany your home away from home
Tempelhof-Schoneberg is the recently created seventh borough of Berlin, and was formed in 2001 by merging the former boroughs of Tempelhof and Schoneberg. The boroughs are extremely diverse, with Tempelhof an industrial and housing area and Schoneberg a growing district of nightlife, restaurants, nightlife and entertainment. Together they combine to make a cheaper, but equally attractive, alternative to staying in the centre of this fascinating and historic city.

Schoneberg is fast gaining a reputation as a trendy and enjoyable area in which to spend an evening out, and has a number of restaurants and cafe-bars to choose from. Many of these are in the Goltzstr and Viktoria Luise Platz areas - where they housed in the basement of attractive old houses. Drink and food prices are also noticeably lower than those of central Berlin.
The Schoneberg district makes for an interesting walk. Winterfeldmarkt is a popular market held on a Saturday (with a scaled-down version on a Wednesday) which has stalls of all kinds and plenty of bargains to be found. Those seeking something a little more upmarket should head to KaDeWe, the world’s second biggest department store (Harrods in London is first). A number of Cold War memorials can also be found lining the streets as you continue your walk.
Tempelhof is home to a large percentage of the holiday rental accommodation in the borough and offers close and easy access to Schoneberg. It is also the home of the now-closed Tempelhof Airport, which was once one of the largest buildings on earth, and today hosts occasional trade shows and other events.
