On the other end of the 4km beach is the Marina of Caleta de Velez, from which almost every water sport you could wish to try can be practiced. It is also surrounded by cafes and restaurants, which means that there are plenty of refreshments to allow you to recuperate after a hard morning in the sea!

Being on the Costa del Sol, renting a property in Torre del Mar is also a great option for golfers. You should have no problems in finding a course to test your skills, as there are six courses within 20 minutes of the town.

On the 16th July each year, the festival of the Virgen del Carmen cavorts into town. This is a magnificent time to be staying in a self catering villa, apartment or property in Torre del Mar, as the carnival atmosphere reaches every street in the town!
