Torre Real is a small resort on the Costa del Sol, just outside of Marbella, which is popular with families in the summer months and golfers all year-round. The majority of visitors to Torre Real come in the summer months, when the resort bustles with families on their summer holidays. The golden sand beach is easily accessed from the resort, and is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun, while the sea is protected and offers a safe place to swim and cool off from the summer heat.

Torre Real is also a particularly popular destination for golf lovers, and is found right next-door to Rio Real golf course, which is open to visitors paying green fees.

There are however plenty of other sporting activities on offer for those not so keen on spending their time on the green. This includes a tennis club, horse riding, fishing and sailing, as well as plenty of water sports, such as wind surfing, water skiing and Scuba diving.

Torre Real is well-placed for visitors who wish to explore the Andalucia region of Spain further.

Just 4km down the road from Torre Real is the town of Marbella, a pleasant place to spend the day, with numerous pavement cafes and several top-class restaurants at which to sample traditional local seafood. Marbella is also home to several museums and churches, as well as a nice selection of boutique shops and a lively bar scene in the evening.

The city of Malaga is also less than an hour’s drive from Torre Real, with numerous galleries and museums likely to be of interest to the visitor. The city is also host to several festivals throughout the year, including the annual Carnival in February.

The weather in Torre Real is typical of other Spanish resorts on the Costa del Sol. As the name would suggest, there are relatively few wet days in Torre Real, and most days benefit from at least five hours of sunshine, even in the winter months. Summers are generally hot, with temperatures of up to 30C, while winters remain mild, rarely reaching below 12C. This makes Torre Real a great destination for a spot of winter sunshine.

Flights to Torre Real, Spain

The most convenient way to reach Torre Real is via Malaga Airport (AGP), which is around 51km from the resort. This airport receives daily flights from several UK airlines, including British Airways, easyJet and Ryanair among others, with flights from several major UK airports other than London. Car hire, taxis and shuttle buses all operate out of the airport and make it easy to reach your Torre Real self-catering accommodation.
