There are three courses to choose from, with most of the accommodation being located on the Vale Da Pinta course itself or at neighbouring Gramacho. Opened in 1992, The Par 71 course at Vale Da Pinta is constructed to an extremely high standard, and has been the host of the European Seniors Tour Qualifying Final for eight years running. The layout is challenging but playable, containing a number of bunkers and ornamental lakes on its fairways. This is all set amongst the fantastic scenery of almond and olive trees with a mountainous backdrop.

Away from the golf there are a number of other sports facilities within the resort, including an outdoor swimming pool and a sunbathing area, tennis courts and a bowling green. Restaurants, bars, cafes and shops can also be found on site, so you never have far to go when you fancy a bite to eat.

The city of Lagoa is just a short distance from the golf resort, and a great place for shopping and dining, as well as being the home of historic attractions such as the Convento do Sao Jose, which dates back to 1713. 13km to the north, Silves is another historic city that also makes for a great day trip, with remains of its castle dating back to Moorish times.

The weather in Vale Da Pinta is sunny and warm for a large percentage of the year – ideal for a golfing holiday. July and August are the hottest (and driest) months, but also the busiest. A good alternative is to visit during May or June, when the temperatures start to warm up and rainfall is still on the low side.
