Vaujany lies in one of the largest ski domains in Europe. There are over 200km of pistes to conquer, cutting across valleys, through forests and down to the many villages in the valley. There is such a maze of ski lifts that it would be impossible to get to know the whole area in a single Vaujany holiday, so taking a piste map as you explore is essential, such is the size of the resort. For those hoping to get a little tuition from Vaujany, the French Ski School is exceptional, with plenty of English speaking teachers.

If you require a day of recovery away from the slopes during your stay, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. There is a great skating rink in the village, as well as a cinema, a fantastic spa centre and a wonderful little museum documenting 100 years of life in Vaujany. Locals still sell their produce, including cheese, honey and fruit jams in the village, which makes it a real delight to shop in the village.

The summer months see Vaujany chalets filled with walkers and climbers looking for perfect solitude in the mountains. Many of the ski lifts remain open during the summer, taking walkers and climbers onto the mountain ridges towards the imposing peaks of Mont Blanc.
