Villamarchante is located around 30 kilometres west of Valencia, amongst the pine-clad countryside and orange groves of the Sierra Caledrona foothills. This makes it an ideal location from which to explore Spain’s third largest city - close enough for easy access, but away from the crowds and an ideal place for relaxing. Quality holiday rental accommodation is usually found in the form of luxury villas with panoramic views.

Things to do in Villamarchante, Spain

A holiday rental in Villamarchante is ideal for those who want a relaxing break away from busy tourist destinations, but still want easy access to a bigger city destination for part of their vacation. Being located out in the countryside, Villamarchante is almost untouched by the tourist industry, but remains just a short journey from Valencia. This makes the destination popular with couples, young families, older people and anyone who simply wants to relax.

Various basic amenities, such as shops, bars, supermarkets and restaurants are located in the village and its neighbours Cheste and Pedralba. A few kilometres further is Bunol, which is home to the ‘La Tomatina’ festival, which can only be described as a food fight! It lasts for several hours, and has to be seen to be believed! The main town of the Turia valley is Lilria, which has opportunities for guided trips into the mountains, either on foot or on horseback.

Another option is a wine tasting trip, out into the Utiel and Requena region. The beaches are also with easy reach, and offer a variety of water sports, including jet skiing, sailing, surfing, scuba diving and wind surfing - or you can simply relax on the sand and top up your tan.
