Vistabella, Costa Blanca - Vistabella and The Surrounding Area

Vistabella is a tiny Spanish village set amongst the hills between Torrevieja and Orihuela. The area has grown in recent years with the building of Entre Naranjos and Laguna Green, new urbanisations of typical Spanish white houses which sit majestically in the hillside surrounding Vistabella. The remote location means that the area is ideal for hill walking and exploring the local countryside or nearby lakes. Many of the views are stunning and the area is ideal for those who appreciate a bit of peace and tranquillity. The properties in the new urbanisations also have communal pools where you can cool down in the summer sun and the area is very much an up-and-coming area with a top-class golf course and a variety of facilities in the pipeline. At the moment, however, the two main venues for bars, restaurants and other forms of entertainment are Los Montesinos and San Miguel de Salinas, two typical Spanish towns that are five to ten minutes drive from Vistabella and are easily accessible by car or local cheap-rate taxi. There are also a number of fiestas at different times of the year in many of the small towns in the surrounding area with the festival of the Christians and the Moors in Guardamar in July one of the most spectacular comprising beach landings and re-enactments of battles that took place thousands of years ago. The larger resort of Torrevieja is only about twenty minutes drive away with a multitude of shops and activities for all tastes.
