Wadebridge is a town in North Cornwall, situated on the Camel estuary. It is named after the large old bridge that runs through the middle of the town. The Royal Cornwall Showground is also the venue for Cornwall's biggest antique fair. In November there is the Prime Stock Show and the Garden Produce Association and Chrysanthemum Show.

Wadebridge has lots of side streets to explore with all sorts of interesting and unusual shops to find unique gifts. The town has the normal assortment of supermarket, newsagents, butchers, and many restaurants, cafes and pubs. Set out from your Cornish cottage to Bodmin General and you can enjoy a steam train journey through the beautiful countryside on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway.

Lanhydrock House is a late Victorian county house run by the National Trust. It has extensive gardens, servant's quarters, wooded estate, family museum and guided garden tours. Other places of interest within travelling distance of your holiday cottage include Trago Mills out of town shopping centre, Pencarrow, Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park, Trelawney Garden and Leisure and St Mawgan Bowl at St Eval.
