The town centre is also largely unspoilt, thanks mainly to a limit on the number of high-rise apartments that can sometimes blight coastal towns. The La Safor mountain range can be viewed from the town, and heading into the foothills is rewarded with panoramic views for miles around. The towns and villages of the Costa Azahar make for an excellent series of day trips when staying in Xeraco. Valencia is by far the biggest and most famous, but there are many more that each have their own attractions, including Gandia, which is just 9km south and has a busier beach and more in the way of typical tourist attractions than Xeraco.

The mild winters and hot summers experienced in the town make Xeraco an ideal destination for a beach holiday. Summer high temperatures peak at around 30C during July and August, but you could feasibly get a tan anytime from April to October.

The bet way of getting to Xeraco from the UK is to fly to Valencia Airport (VLC). The airport is 76km away, a journey that should take under an hour, but a stop-off of at least a day or two is suggested to explore this famous city, before heading onto Xeraco. Flight time from the UK is a little over two hours.
